'Blue Torso, Green Hand' and 'Circle, Hand and Heart' were works arriving via Freudian and Jungian depths of the psyche. This was a complete break away from my earlier work. This emancipation from the traditional, so to speak, was largely due to living and working in a collective community with a number of other artists and lecturers. The works - one an obvious mandala led to a seemingly free use of the imagination but were undoubtedly of psychological origin. The 'Blue Torso, Green Hand' ,1964, was a first of its time in allowing audience participation on a tactile/visual level.
